Kris Kristofferson comes to mind this morning...Sunday Morning Comin' Down. and a good day to ya wherever this Sunday finds you.
Just getting started; coffee to hand; and I was reading the intro to Transition Towns Handbook by Rob Hopkins (get this one and Transition Timeline - which I have, but is next to read) and it talks about how we need new cultural stories...Neale Donald Walsch is talking about the very same thing. I haven't met Rob Hopkins yet; but Neale and I share the same passion about shifting the spiritual matrix - there are no accidents in the Universe/God.
So I'm off to finish my coffee. TT Handbook stays in the "read a few pages" reading room.
Heard - and want to pass along - a warning for any one or any parents who give their children Little Critters (or Li'l Critters) gummy type of vitamin - usually purchased in Costco -
it has been tested and shown to contain up to 20% lead
It's not only really bad for healthy humans and animals, but in children with Muscular Dypstrophy (and I'm sure other dis-eases) it can be life-threatening. The company was contacted with the findings and, apparently, they disagree with the scientific research, and - from my understanding of it - have refused to pull the product from the shelves.
I can see the different shores I've stood on across the planet (and planning to add more to my mornings of vibrant and rich visualizations) call again to my spirit, as I watch the color-assorted birds quick-splash their colors across their line of flight (and my line of sight) - darting from this place and resting for 4 seconds - then darting upward.
May your day be filled with Splashes of Color...changing, darting upward, Splashes.
How do we get from where we are in this Moment of Now into a New Day? A new way of living? A new way of walking lightly on our Planet? A new way of interacting as One? Let's share information, awareness and Oneness. Peace. The Journey is, indeed, the Dance. Let's Rock.

First Crop
We sowed everything from seed this year. Here in the deep south, there are some aware and wonderful folks who grow organic, harvest the seeds, then sell them at a fair trade price at the local fairs. I'll put up links to their sites (an organic gardening/sustainable community group; and an organic nursery, where they also raise organic beef and pork.)
I've hooked up with them, and will be attending their meetings. I'm in the processing of giving seminars on co-creating sustainable communities, on-the-ground, using small communities, as these will be the ones who - if we keep the Oneness component at the forefront (We are all One, even at the quantum physics level as well as the Spiritual, and practicing that is what will move us forward as people and a planet) - make the near future work, and guide the others of us.
If you're interested in having me speak to your group, or are interested in hearing about working with Team Humanity Network and The Middle Times, please email me and we'll have a conversation!
We used organic manures - horse, chicken and mushroom. We added some organic nutrients that we bought at the nursery, and took some advice from the folks who have been doing it organically for years. Remember: do your own research. Listen to those who have already gotten farther down the path than you toward sustainability. Then synthesize it and come up with your own plan.
Next, we bought seeds at the Fair on the Square in a nearby town. I spent a while listening and talking to these fantastic folks talk about our commonalities and our goals for the future as we look squarely into the face of rising prices for anything energy-related (that would be petroleum products and by-products; natural gas); the unwillingness of our politicians to address the issue (they are fearful that they will not get re-elected if they tell us the Truth about the Terrible Twins of Peak Oil & Climate Change); and the ever-present consumer mentality that has been bred into us since the dawn of the industrial century - the more is better; that bigger is better; keeping up with your neighbors in what you 'have' as opposed to simply being the best at who you are and allow your neighbor to be/do the same.
In the course of some amazing conversations, we bought some tomato plants that were already started (several varieties). We bought seeds for bush beans, corn, squash, zucchini, beets, carrots, lettuce, and herbs. It was a lovely day, filled with conversations all throughout our walk around the square - including getting to speak in Spanish to a couple of warm, intelligent women from Buenos Aires who were selling homemade baked goods - yummy, they were!!!
Once home, we finished up our day working in our eBay vinyl music store, on Amazon (we are major music lovers - especially Jazz and Blues - but I was raised on Rock n' Roll and love World music, Bluegrass, and of course, I can sing an Irish Rebel song at the drop of a Guiness - and Geoff knows just about everything there is to know about music, bar few) and I settled down to do some work on my website, Team Humanity Network (always a work in progress!)
The next morning, we had a neighbor come re-till the soil, so we could put the tomato plants in, and got started. You can buy little biodegradable starter pots for the seeds - or you can use the egg cartons you get your organic eggs in as well - it will also biodegrade (getting chickens is the next step.)
So, more about the process and the fun of it in my next post. I'm off to check in with Transition Towns USA, read some of Richard Heinberg's new posts (author of Power Down, The Party's Over, and more), and then list to eBay.
May your day be filled to overflowing with Blessings, Belly Laughs, and Awareness of What Is, so we can change the Planet! And then have myriad opportunities to pass it all forward. Peace. We are the co-creators of a New Day.

The American Academy Of Environmental Medicine Calls For Immediate Moratorium On Genetically Modified Foods
Please...as we enter into a co-creative phase culturally and physically on our planet...please read this critical report on genetically modified food. Are we really willing to allow these profiteers to continue to create these frankenfoods that we are putting in our bodies - and into the bodies of our children and grandchildren - sometimes without our even knowing because they have succeeding in making labeling of foods something that is not legally demanded! What kind of planet are we co-creating for our kids and grandkids - and us? Let's stand up and demand that the laws being pushed by Monsanto and others through Congress RIGHT NOW be stopped! Make your own decisions, but please read this and do more research. Your lives and our children's lives - and our planet - depend on it. Is more profit worth all that? Thanks.

Green, Sustainable, and just plain interesting links
I'm on Twitter as TeamHumanityNet.
This is my website name for Team Humanity Network - a website dedicated to Oneness. I believe that, with the awareness that We are all One - all one thing, even at the quantum physics level (watched The Secret?) - we can build and be a bridge to a New Day...a new way of being and doing on our planet.
And that involves realizing that "Being" is an active verb and not just a state of being. As Activists, we are all varying shades of the same Rainbow...Diversity in Oneness...working toward the same goals - a Future that is sustainable, functional, adaptable and where Peace is for the Strong of Heart and Spirit.
I've spent the day going through some great folks I've added on my twitter and have gotten some up on the links here. Check them out if you have a moment. I'm not done by any means, but using the 'One Foot in front of the other' theory, I'll have lots more up there soon.
The Middle Times is dedicated to the "how-to's" - another blog of mine, Team Humanity Network Blog has the same goals, with a decidedly Spiritual/Oneness bent. No one has to believe in anything, or can believe in a Force name Harry, for all I care. Oneness is Oneness.
I also have a blog about Food, Air, and Water - what's being done to them, about them, and for them. It's Called Organic Grandmamá's Cafe. Hope you like it. You can come by and sit a spell...talk about how food affects everything we do and are, yes? And water...well, corporations are just buying it up right and left...and soda corporations are often just ripping it off. Please, send me anything you think might be good to share about these topics and I'll put them up. Increasing exposure to information...sharing links and conversation...that's how we do it/be it.
It's all about staying aware...acknowledging what is...and accepting that, working together, across the artificially created divides of human foibles and frailties, we can change the Planet.
Peace. The Journey is the Dance.
